What SA1408 changes
Special Authority is PHARMAC’s mechanism for restricting subsidy to defined criteria. The prescriber must check the current Schedule and submit the required application. The rules are not means-tested in the same way as a welfare benefit, but clinical and prescriber criteria still matter.
